The key to getting through hard times is to trust in God and not put confidence in ourselves or men.

As human beings, we are limited in our strength and understanding of life. Therefore, we must surrender and give everything to God.

Short Prayer for Strength Before Surgery

“Dear Father, my scheduled surgery makes me nervous and terrified. I ask for your protection as I go into the operating room and the medical professionals operate on my body.

Please direct the surgeon’s hand as they carry out the task at hand. Give them discernment in all their decisions, and aid me in leaning on You for support.

As I enter the doctor’s office, help me to experience Your presence there.

As You have promised, be at my side. You’ve assured me that you will never abandon me.

When I wake up, follow me as I go through my healing and rehabilitation.” In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
