Healing Scriptures in the Old Testament: 22 Kjv Bible Verses

By Faith Way

As a believer in the Lord, you know that the Bible is a treasure trove of wisdom and guidance.

In its pages, we find comfort, hope, and the promise of salvation.

But did you know that the Bible is also a source of healing?

Yes, my friend, the healing power of the Word of God is real and profound.

From the very beginning, God has revealed himself to be a God of healing and restoration.

In the Old Testament, we find countless examples of his miraculous power at work, bringing physical, emotional, and spiritual healing to his people.

Take, for instance, the story of Naaman the leper. Naaman was a great and powerful man, but he was afflicted with a terrible disease that made him an outcast in his society.

He traveled to Israel seeking a cure, and was directed to the prophet Elisha.

Elisha instructed him to wash in the Jordan River seven times, and he would be healed.

Naaman was skeptical at first, but he obeyed the prophet’s instructions, and sure enough, he was healed!

Or consider the story of Hezekiah, who was gravely ill and near death. He prayed to the Lord, and the prophet Isaiah came to him and told him that the Lord had heard his prayers and would heal him.

And indeed, the Lord did just that, adding fifteen years to Hezekiah’s life.

These stories are just a few examples of the many healing scriptures found in the Old Testament.

From the Psalms to the prophets, we see God’s loving kindness and mercy on display, reaching out to his people in their time of need.

So my friend, if you or someone you love is in need of healing today, I urge you to turn to the Word of God.

Let his promises of healing and restoration fill your heart and mind. And trust in his goodness and faithfulness, knowing that he is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.

Final Word on Healing

I hope that as you have journeyed with me through the Old Testament, you have seen the power and love of our God in the miraculous healings that have taken place.

From Naaman’s healing of leprosy to Hezekiah’s recovery from a fatal illness, we see time and time again that God is a God who heals and restores.

But there is one healing that stands above them all – the healing that comes through accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior.

This healing is not just physical, but spiritual and eternal. It is the healing of your soul from sin and separation from God.

You see, the Bible tells us that we have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).

Our sin separates us from God, and the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).

But God, in His great love for us, sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for our sins and rise again on the third day (John 3:16).

Through faith in Jesus Christ, we can be healed of our sin and restored to a right relationship with God.

We can have the assurance of eternal life in heaven with Him (John 10:10).

So I urge you, my dear reader, to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior today.

Confess your sins and ask for His forgiveness. Believe in your heart that He died for your sins and rose again. And make Him the Lord of your life.

May you experience the healing and restoration that only Jesus can bring.
