In the Bible, God promised healing and he has made it available to you, or whoever believes in the integrity of the written word of God.
Divine healing is not a biblical myth or religious cliche.
Divine healing is a real promise that God made to mankind, and the good news… it’s still available today.
Speaking about promises, let’s see what it means in the Bible.
What is the biblical definition of promise?
In the Bible, a promise is a declaration or assurance that something will happen.
It is a statement of intent or commitment, often made in the context of a covenant or agreement between two or more parties.
Promises in the Bible are often associated with God, who is seen as a faithful and trustworthy promisor.
For example, God makes several promises to the Israelites in the Old Testament, such as the promise to protect and guide them, to bless them with abundance, and to give them a land to call their own.
In the New Testament, God’s promise of salvation through Jesus Christ is a central theme.
What are the scriptures that show God promised to heal?
The Bible contains many passages that speak about God’s promise to heal his people. Pastor John Hague has a great collection of healing scriptures that I recommend you read. For example, in Exodus 15:26, God says, “I am the Lord who heals you.”
In Psalm 103:3, it says, “He forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases.”
And in Isaiah 53:5, it says, “By his stripes, we are healed.” These are just a few examples of the many passages in the Bible that speak about God’s promise to heal his people.
In the scriptures highlighted above, we see that God promised to heal his people, Isreal. But is it available to you?
Yes, healing is available to you as much as it is available to the children of Isreal in biblical times. Healing wasn’t promised by God only to the Jews under the old covenant.
But equally, under the new covenant, healing is available to anyone willing to meet God on his terms and conditions for healing.
And you may ask, “what are these terms and conditions for divine healing?” There are as follows:
The written word: what does God say about healing? Is it a promise? And is it available to me? You need to locate the scriptures that answer these questions.
Once you’ve complied these scriptures, you can now rebut and resist every lie of satan that healing is not available today for you.
Faith: Secondly, you must have faith, you must believe, this scripture explains it better than I do.
Prayer: I cannot help but stress the importance of prayer. Prayer is the messenger sent by you through prayer before God.
The more you pray the stronger the voice of your messenger before God.
Either way, someone needs to pray, whether you, elders of the church, other brethrens, someone will need to pray.
Let’s now look at our collection of

What is Biblical Healing?
Biblical healing refers to the belief that healing and wellness can be attained through faith in God and by following the teachings of the Bible.
Many Christians believe that God has the power to heal both physical and emotional ailments, and that prayer, trust in God, and faith are essential for receiving his healing power.
I am one of those who believe in biblical or divine healing. I am not the first nor would I be the last to believe in divine healing.
For this reason, I encourage you to read, pray, and meditate on these passages until healing manifests in your mortal body.
Does God Still Heals Today?
Some may argue that it is a matter of personal belief whether or not God still heals people today.
For example, some people (me included ) believe that God has the power to heal people, while others may not believe in God or may not believe that he has the power to heal.
Ultimately, whether or not you believe that God still heals today does not change the fact that God still heals today. He has healed me and that settles it.
How to Activate Devine Healing from God?
There are many ways to activate God’s healing power in your life. Kenneth Haggin wrote about 7 methods of divine healing, and you should read them for a more in-depth explanation of the subject matter.
But in short, one way is to pray and ask God to heal you. You can also ask others to pray for your healing.
Moreover, surrounding yourself with prayerful, faith-fill, and loving people can also help activate God’s healing power over your life.
I strongly encourage you to read the scriptures as they will help to strengthen your faith and trust in God’s ability to heal you.
What does the Bible say about Healing the Sick?
In the Bible, there are many references or examples of God’s will to heal and his healing power bringing healing to the sick.
For example, in Psalm 103:3, it says, “He heals all your diseases.” Matthew 9:35, says, “Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.”
These passages show that God has the power to heal the sick and that Jesus and God’s servants used this power to manifest healing in the lives of many people.
What is a Good Bible Verse for Strength and Healing?
One popular Bible verse for strength and healing is Psalm 46:1, which says “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” This verse reminds us that God is always with us and will provide us with the strength and comfort we need to overcome any challenges or difficulties we may face.
Other verses that may be helpful for strength and healing include Psalm 34:18, which says “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit,” and Isaiah 41:10, which says “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
A powerful Prayer for Healing?
Here is a powerful prayer for healing:
“Dear God,
We come before you today with heavy hearts, seeking your healing touch. I ask that you lay your hands upon me, and restore my health.
Grant me strength and vitality, and bring peace and comfort to my mind and body. Help me to trust in your loving care, and give me the courage to face each day with hope and faith.
I pray that you will bless me with a complete and speedy recovery, and that I will be restored to full health in body, mind, and spirit.
I give you all the praise and glory, and thank you for your loving kindness.
Amen.”
What is a Good Psalm for Healing?
One psalm that is often associated with protection and also healing is Psalm 23,
This psalm describes God’s protection and care for his sheep or people, and it is a source of comfort and hope in times of illness or hardship. Here is the full text of Psalm 23:
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside still waters;
He restores my soul.
He leads me in right paths
for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I fear no evil;
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff—
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
my whole life long.
Prayer for Strength in Difficult Times
Dear God,
I am feeling overwhelmed and in need of your strength. Please give me the resilience to overcome the challenges I am facing and the wisdom to make good decisions. Help me to trust in your plan for my life and to have faith that you are always with me.
Give me the courage to face each day with determination and to persevere through whatever comes my way. Help me to remember that I am never alone, and that your love and support are always with me.
In your precious name I pray, Amen
