2.Psalm 23

“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.”

In this 23 Psalm, our Father reminds us through His servant David that we are covered, and His eyes are always upon us.

Evil will not prevail against us, not even in our most vulnerable and weakest hour. God is with you, be at peace and allow this uplifting verse before surgery to encourage your heart.

3.Psalm 91

2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.”

O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.

Sometimes when we find ourselves in affliction, it can be our own doing. But even then, God has made grace available so that we can obtain mercy.

Also, as with Job, we may find ourselves in affliction not because of our sins. In this case, there is grace available so that we may find help in times of need.

May everything wonderful that God has done for you find expression in your life today. Amen

9.Psalm 103:11

“For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.”
