In the parable of the persistent widow, Jesus teaches us to never give up in prayer, no matter how much resistance we may face. In 1 Thessalonians 5:17, we are encouraged to pray without ceasing. This means that our zeal for prayer must always remain steadfast and persistent.

Being zealous in regards to life beyond Earth also means pursuing spiritual growth and understanding of the Kingdom of God. In Colossians 3:2, Paul writes “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly matters.” This scripture encourages us to be focused on spiritual growth in our lives, rather than focusing on the things of this world.
Furthermore, being zealous in our lives beyond Earth also means living a life of obedience to God. When we are obedient to God, we are living out a life that is full of zeal and devotion. In Hebrews 10:38-39, it says “And my righteous acts will be remembered; with love and faithfulness I will walk before the Lord.” This passage reminds us that when we live in obedience to God, it brings glory to Him and honors His name.
Lastly, the bible speaks of pursuing eternal things with zeal. In Ecclesiastes 3:11 it says “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” This passage speaks of the fact that we should use our zeal to pursue God and what He has for us in the eternal realm.
ZEAL IN RELATION TO SERVICE
The bible speaks to the importance of being zealous in our service to God. In Colossians 3:23-24, it states “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” This scripture reminds us that when we are serving God, we should be doing it out of zeal and devotion, and not for our own personal gain.
Being zealous in our service to God also means going the extra mile to serve others. In Matthew 25:41-42, Jesus tells us “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
